Shakeshpeare’s Tempest: A Post-Colonial Reading

Abstract

Post colonialism is one of the modern and emerging fields of literary criticism in the present age. It generally refers to literary texts written by the indigenous people of colonised nations. In addition to that, postcolonial criticism also takes in to consideration of the literatures of the colonial authors and makes a critical interpretation of their works from the point of view of the colonised and oppressed nations. It is a commendable way of retelling and re-writing history.
