Abstract

Indian diasporic literature is arresting global attention today. The issues like alienation, nostalgia, discrimination, identity crisis are captivating the attention of writers and taking unique place in the literature. The cultural turmoil and the appalling delusions of modern times are being presented in nearly all works that are being written today.  We can see such issues been chronicled with the interests of Jhumpa Lahiri , Salman Rushdie, Amitav Ghosh, V.S. Naipaul , Bharati Mukherjee and Agha Shahid Ali etc. who have focused attention on the problems of migrants in foreign lands.
